My name is Jackie and I came to the shelter when my previous owners could no longer care for me. They reported that I am good with other cats and dogs, but I can be scared of strangers. So, I'll need time to adjust in a new home. Please be kind and patient, and give me a calm space where I can learn to relax. In the past, I have not done well with small children, so I should not go into a home with small children. Thank you for considering adopting me! I'll make a great little companion once I find the right spot. INSIGHTS FROM MY FOSTER FRIENDS:`Jackie has been doing well. She loves to cuddle up on the couch or lay inside her crate. Jackie got to play in the snow recently and had so much fun. She loves to spend time with everyone in the house. Jackie warms up to people quickly once she realizes theyâre there to give her pets and cuddles!``Sweet Jackie is so much fun! She spent several days with me and was a very good girl. She was a bit nervous and worried for the first couple of days but once she settled in, she was a joy to have around. She is house-trained when taken out regularly but did have a couple of accidents the first day. Once she adjusted, though, she was perfect. She can be slow to trust at first so slow introductions with new people and dogs is recommended. Because of her trust issues, she would likely do better with older children who are able to read her cues and know when she needs space (no small children please). Jackie is playful and energetic at times but settles down nicely for some snuggle time on the couch. She knows sit and takes treats gently. She is a curious girl who loves walks and exploring. She gets excited when she knows itâs time to go outside. She gets the zoomies right before bedtime and then calms down quickly and is ready for some zzzzzzâs. She slept all night in her bed in the bedroom every night but also seemed to enjoy her crate for some alone time and napping during the day. Jackie is a sweetheart and would love a home where she can be part of the family.
