Meet Jeffrey:** Sponsored by Gibson Plumbing, Inc.
Jeffrey has come a long way! 3 years old, he has finally learned about leash walking, and is thriving now that his mangled feet have healed up. Jeffrey enjoys running, following scents, and exploring anything new. I see a dog that might appeal to you as a runner! Full of energy! He would love a chance to be adopted. Come visit him at the shelter in Campbell County. [Medical notes at Jeffrey's intake: Jeffrey spent a week being treated for foot infections, lungworms, and tickborne disease. He is our miracle hound! Prefers nose to the ground independence to playing with other dogs, but he is happy to have toys, and has learned how to toss balls in the air, fetch them, and check out all the smells associated with Fall!) PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
