Tripod love! This pretty senior named HOLLEY is in need of a new home, and she told her family she would really like to be a one and only, so she can get ALL the love. She was adopted from a shelter in our area just three years ago, and has adapted well to being a beloved family pet. Here is what her human has to say: *She is spayed *She is microchipped *She will be 9 next month around the 13/15th unsure exact date She good with kids *Not good with cats or smaller animals *She good with dogs most of the time but would prefer to be only dog. The human notes, "She had a bad up bringing and can get triggered. I've only adopted her three years ago. She has had two incidents in my home with no signs of it happening. I would love to find her a home where is could be controlled if there is more dogs or by herself. We feel her past was breeder since she has had multiple litters. Possible fighter or bait dog. Not sure. She has only three legs. She is a sweet heart but if a dog snaps wrong in play it can trigger her." (Note: Because of her issues, no one can guarantee that she will be a highly adaptable dog for homes that are not experienced with redirecting and correcting if necessary, but we hope that perfect home can be found.) If tripods are your "thing," and you have a quiet lifestyle, perhaps this will work for you! Apply here and we will send to her family for consideration.
Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
