Meet Althea: At the shelter

If you are prefer  Shepherd-size dogs you are going to LOVE Althea! She is absolutely bursting with the joy of life.  Very smart,  eager to please,  comes when called, does an Obedience School level “Sit!” when asked and is looking forward to learning more.  She is soft and affectionate and enjoys getting hugs.  With your help, this dog can go as far as you want  to take her .  Althea is about 9-12 months old, already spayed and up to date on her healthcare.   She has good doggie social skills and plays like a mad woman , but she would need another dog who is okay with keeping up with her  and she will probably jump up on you too sometimes .  Zoomies, tosses her toys up in the air and then  jumps up in  the  air and catches them herself.  Happy happy girl  and delightful to be with .    A fenced yard is preferred.

Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
