Meet Piper
PIPER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Piper and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (March 17th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Piper Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd Mix Best Guess for Age: 4 months as of March 2024 SEX: Female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 28lbs as of 3/3 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Piper is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Piper! Boy, do I have a story to tell you! Some very nice person found me in a ditch in Ohio, and boy was I happy to see her! She gave me lots of kisses and snuggles and took me to the vet, and now I'm in the DC area looking for my forever home. I can't wait to find it! I'm looking for a home where I can play all day and snuggle in during breaks. When I'm a little older, I want to go on lots of walks to learn what this world is all about. And of course I want to make lots of friends to play with along the way. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Piper is the calmest puppy! She is also a major cuddler! She does really well napping during the day while I telework. She adores playing with the resident dog. She is learning to fetch and loves playing tug. She is very intelligent and observant. She is doing great with crate training. She even goes in her crate for naps with the door open. Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
