Meet Archie

Archie is around 4 yrs old, weighs 7 lbs, and we believe he is a Maltipoo and may also have some Yorkie in him too. Sadly, Archie was abandoned in a hotel room, so we do not know anything about his background. What do know he’s a happy and curious pup. He loves a comfy lap, enjoys belly rubs and back scratches. If you stop petting Archie, he will give you a gentle tap with his paw to let you know he would like more. He loves his toys and will carry them with him around the house. Archie is housetrained and walks great on leash. His foster mom says he is quick to do his business especially if it's cold outside. Archie gets along well with the other dog in his foster home, so he could be an only dog or have another dog under 14 pounds in the home. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected].  There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR ARCHIE’S ADOPTIVE HOME.  The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, which is attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed and microchipped. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption fee is $500.
