SHILO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!    Come meet Shilo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Sept. 1st) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!   Come meet Shilo and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (August 31st) from 12-2 pm at the Petco in Arlington (5825 Leesburg Pike, Bailey's Crossroads, VA 22041)!     Name:   Shilo         Best Guess for Breed:   Border Collie/Collie mix      Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of April 2024         SEX:    male   Approximate Weight:  43 lbs   Gets Along With:  other dogs! We have not seen Shilo with cats or kids but he can be tested!   Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility--Shilo needs a foster or forever home!   Shilo is Looking For: my forever home in the DC area! I'd love a family who will take me on long walks and to the dog park to meet friends. I'm really looking forward to learning tricks and cuddling up at the end of a long day. What My Foster Says About Me:  Shilo is a good dog, and has a lot of energy with my dogs. He played appropriately and exhibited potty training. He was polite and took the other dogs cues while playing and wrestling. He also now lives adaycare and plays well with dogs of all sizes and demeanors! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
