TRENT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Trent         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua/Dachshund mix    Best Guess for Age:   3 years old as of February 2025         SEX:   male   Approximate Weight:   16lbs   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen Trent with cats but he can be tested.   Currently Living at:  Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area!   Special adoption considerations:   We would be cautious placing Trent in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.    Trent is Looking For:   His forever home. This sweetie ended up in a shelter through no fault of his own - and he's closed that chapter. He's eager to once again have his own humans for long sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. A cushy dog bed, quality kibble, lots of snugs - yep, all on his wish list too. But he knows what's most important in life: To be safe and loved and under his own roof. What My Foster Says About Me:  Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
