DELAWARE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Delaware         Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of December 2024     SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  75 lbs   Gets Along With:  Delaware loves playing with other dogs off-leash! In the home, he'd like to shine as the only dog. We haven't seen him with cats or children but he can be tested.    Currently Living at:   DC area home   Delaware is Looking For:   You know one great thing about Delaware? Many puppies outgrow that utterly adorable worried frown - the ridges above their eyes. Delaware is a year and change old, likely full grown - and he still has that worried old-soul look that looks so special on pups.   He may look serious, but Delaware is actually a joyful young pup. He loves running and playing off leash. He loves chasing sticks thrown for him, he loves playing with other dogs, and he loves the water. He loves life in general! He's also eager to go to dog school to learn to be the bestest boy he can be.    Delaware would be a great addition to a home where he gets to burn off all that awesome young-dog energy. In exchange, his humans get a loyal, loving companion always by their side throughout all their adventures. What do you say? Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
