Partnership for Animal Welfare

Partnership for Animal Welfare (PAW) was founded in 1996 and is a all-volunteer, cat and dog rescue organization. Our mission is to place homeless dogs and cats in loving and stable homes. We focus on holding weekend adoption shows to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with our volunteers.

Meet Polly

Polly is proof that good things come in small packages! Equal parts adorable, energy, and snuggles, Polly is perfect for an active person or family. At 30 lbs she is super transportable and eager to be part of the action. She loves to run and play, walk and hike, and explore. At one and a half years old, Polly is a dog that will grow with you. She is eager to please, is crate and house trained, and she is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. Polly is sweet and fun. She will stay as active as you desire, but she also loves her down time. She will snuggle on the couch, in her crate, or chill out on the floor to enjoy a quiet time with a chewy or perhaps a late-afternoon nap.  Polly is a wonderful girl who will make a lifelong companion and partner in life for an active individual or family.PAW adopts in the MD, VA, and DC region.

Adoption Process
1. Interested adopter fills out adoption application. 2. Application is reviewed by Adoption Review committee within a couple of days. 3. Vet check is performed on applicant for current and past pets. 4. Home visit is conducted. 5. If the adoption is approved, a contract is signed, a donation made, and the pet goes home with the adopter.
