Elmer may not be considered a frisbee champion, or have won many athletic awards, but he will definitely win your heart over with his snuggling talents and couch potato persona. If a night of snacking, snuggling and binging your favorite late night tv shows is your thing……..You may have just met your perfect match. Elmer’s perfect home would be one where someone is there most of the time. Someone willing to give him lots of time and attention and let him practice being a velcro dog. Elmer loves his people, getting belly rubs and belly scratches from those people. Elmer has been working on basic training with his foster mom but he’s sure he’d love to continue perfecting his training with you! Elmer, has never met a treat he didn’t like so Elmer, treats, and training is a trifecta combination. While Elmer may not have won many athletic awards, he could possibly medal in leashed, speed walking. He always wants to be out front and does need some work on his leash skills. Elmer does have quite the doggy magnetic personality; meaning he makes doggy friends easy. His demeanor is calm and easy and so far, making new doggy friends has been very easy for him. Elmer seems to enjoy other dogs and loves cuddling with his four foster doggy siblings. Elmer did very well when cat tested! He was curious but not intrusive and seemed to be more interested other things than the cat. Elmer may be an older gentleman of eight but he is still a looker and gets the ladies attention with his beautiful dark brindle coloring and white markings…..all his tippy toes are white. If it sounds like Elmer may be a fit for your family, please contact us.
