Meet Simon

Simon is an adorable 5 yr old Yorkie who weighs about 8lbs. Simon’s foster mom says he is such a lovey boy and looks at his person with the biggest smile while wagging his little tail. Simon loves attention and showers his foster parents with so much love. He would make a great little buddy for someone. Simon was a breeder release, meaning he had never lived in a home until coming into our care. Even though everything was new to him, he is doing very well transitioning into home life. Things like stairs, noises, and housetraining are all new to him. He is doing well with house training and leash walking, but he will need someone who can be patient as he continues to learn what it’s like to live in a home with a family. Simon could be an only dog or have another dog under 15 pounds in the home. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, which is attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed and microchipped. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
