We serve as both a Humane Society organization and a local pound. We try very hard to find homes for our homeless pets. The board of directors is comprised of local people from many walks of life that care deeply for animals. We have employees who do their best to make the animals feel loved and cared for while in our shelter.

Benji - 1 year old, neutered male, Australian Shepherd mix, 50 lbs. Didn’t get along with the male dog in his previous home. He’s fairly reserved at first but he enjoys pets and walks fine on a leash.  Submit an adoption form at https://alleghanyhumane.org/
