Meet Hero: At shelter
Hero is looking for a best friend to mentor him, help him develop confidence on a leash, and teaching to be a loving dog. All he’s known to date is trying to make ends meet from day to day, to get through the night, and carry on the next day again. Although he has not been traumatized by it, he does have an injury that is being treated due to an ingrown collar. That’s a lot for a seven month old puppy to go through, But he has not lost his resilience and he is bouncing back, showing us how much love he truly has deep inside. he finds a great joy when we take him special, canned food with his medication in it, and he tries not to show us how much he appreciates it, but he does love having visitors come and spend time with him! He is learning to be leashed up, and has a harness to wear that will not affect his neck while he heals. We hope someone will be willing to take him in, and give him the love he has missed so far.
