Meet Dior

Dior is Christmas baby and will be 2 years old December 20th. He does need to be the only animal in the home as he wants all the love and attention for himself. He has a lot of energy and will do best in an active family to help him release that energy. He recently went on a hike with our Volunteer Coordinator and she said he did great in the car and LOVED smelling all the smells and being engaged with the outdoors. He loves all people and we have been told he has lived with kids. He is a bigger pup and gets the zoomies and can get a bit nippy sometimes. He walks ok on leash but could use some training. Training would be a great way to keep him engaged and to teach him some basic manners. He also very treat motivated which will help with the training. He is a known escape artist and has scaled a 5 foot fence before so he should never be left unattended outside even if there is a fence. He is super sweet and smart and will make a great family dog with a family that is willing to put in a little extra work and patience with him. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Interested in adopting? Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
