Meet Joey "My Home to Yours"

"My Home to Yours"   Joey (square head) and Margie his sibling are seeking a new home. They have only lived outdoors, according to the family who are placing them, and moved here from sunny Florida not too long ago. They are happy dogs, lab mixes, and have always lived together. "Here is what their family says: They are both in good health. We lived on several acres in Florida before moving to Virginia, and they are strictly outdoor dogs. They do have a winterized dog house that can go with them if desired. Both are very sweet, but are skittish around strangers. They do not like cats at all." In the photos, Joey has a square head with a white stripe, and Margie has a more pointed snout with brown brindle coloring on her head, chest, and legs. **We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!

Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
