Swipper is a super playful pup that LOVES to run and play with his doggie friends. He was kept in a crate the majority of his life and is under socialized, due to this he is nervous of new things, people, and average dog things like a leash. He will need someone who is willing to be patient with him and make him feel comfortable and understand that not all people or things are bad. He is a very sweet boy once he warms up. We are unsure of him and cats but as we say super slow introductions and patience is the best way to go. He would do best in a home with kids that are 10 and above that will respect his boundaries and have patience with him as he learns how to dog. He is crate trained and will use it as his safe space when he gets nervous. He is still very much a puppy with all the puppy tendencies and will benefit greatly from consistent training and patience. He is also housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Interested in adopting? Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
