ROBERT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Robert Best Guess for Breed: Bassett Hound / Shepherd Mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of April 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 31 lbs as of April 2025 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Shelter. Robert needs a foster or forever home to make his way to DC! Robert is Looking For: A family of his own to take him on long sniffy walks to work that hound nose, and lots of ear scritches! A nice warm bed, a safe home and lots of high quality kibble and treats are just what he wants! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! We will update this when Robert has spent some time in a foster home. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application
2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit.
3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
