Jameson is an 8 year old hound dog. He is silly, sweet, and loves all people. He is excellent on the leash, well mannered, potty trained, and loves treats and chasing squirrels. He has the biggest heart and is the kindest, most lovable and deserving dog. Heâs the kind of dog who leaves a mark on your heart from the very first meeting. He also has cancer. After spending months in the shelter waiting for his chance, Jameson was diagnosed with thyroid carcinoma following the removal of a mass on his neck. Despite this tough news, Jamesonâs spirit remains unshaken, and his fan clubâincluding our vet team, shelter staff, fosters, and dog walkersâhas rallied around him. Everyone who meets Jameson falls head over heels for his kind and loving soul. But he needs more than we can provide inside the walls of this shelter. He needs you. Thanks to our nonprofit partners, FMCA, Jameson received surgery from a specialist and is recovering beautifully. While his diagnosis means his future is uncertain, we are determined to find him the loving home he so deeply deserves. This is where you come in. Weâre looking for a special humanâsomeone with a heart as big as Jamesonâsâto give him a soft landing where he can live the rest of his life, however long, outside the shelter. There are many medical options and outcomes for Jameson such as palliative care, or treatment for cancer. Either way, we are urgently searching for an adopter who will let him spend his twilight time in loving arms. Jameson deserves to live out his days surrounded by love, comfort, and joy.
