Meet Hermione, a senior chihuahua

Background: Hermione is a very sweet Rat Terrier-Dachshund mix. Her estimated age is 10 years. She was found as a stray and never claimed. Due to overcrowding and the fact she was in the shelter for a long while, she was scheduled to be euthanized. Hermione is very happy to be out of the shelter and into foster care. She is now looking for her new forever family. About Hermione: Hermione was a bit weak when she arrived to foster care, she has now regained her strength and is quite spry. She very much enjoys her daily walks, she has adjusted well to the colder weather which doesn’t seem to bother her much on her walks. She would do well as an only dog and with management, she does well in a multi-dog home (her foster has three of her own) She will do her best in an adult-only home. Hermione loves to follow her favorite human around the house and as long as you give her chances to smell, will quite enjoy a brisk walk out of doors. She does need slower introductions with new people, and overall she is very friendly once she trusts you. Hermione is the perfect mix of energetic and couch potato. Don’t let her age fool you, she still has lots of love and life to live. She really loves her meal times and has put on the much-needed weight from being in the shelter. How To Meet Hermione Hermione has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen.
