Meet St Clair
Saint Clair came to AHS with her mama, Chloe (also available for adoption), and her 6 siblings. She is a coon hound/pitbull mix, which gives her all the wrinkles AND all the ears! She currently weighs around 20lb, and is expected to be in the 50-60lb range once fully grown.Saint Clair, aka Clair, is the last puppy available from her litter. She has taken this change in stride, learning to sleep alone and to entertain herself. She doesn’t love either of those things- she would prefer to have a dog sibling to sleep and play with. She has two doggy foster siblings- 60 and 30 lb, but they find her puppy energy (and her obsession with them) tiring after a while. Clair loves the 1-1 attention that she gets from her foster family now. She has shown herself to be a quick learner, and is mastering “sit” and working on “down.” She is treat motivated, but mostly she just loves being with people and making them happy. Clair is sweet, snuggly, and happy. She is so, so ready for her own people and home!Clair has never met a person she doesn’t love- kids, adults, grandparents… they’re all her favorites! She has also been fostered with cats, and has learned that, at best, they’re boring, and at worst they’re grumpy and sharp. Clair would love to have a dog sibling to take her under their wing, but she would also be OK being your one and only love. Clair is almost 14 weeks old (born on 12/18/24), has received her first round of vaccines, and is ready to melt hearts. She is nearly potty trained, and is well on her way to being crate trained. Clair will need to be signed up for a basic obedience class prior to finalizing her adoption, and she will need continued puppy vet care to grow into the strong, beautiful girl that she is meant to be.
