Animal Profile: Peter is a lovely blank slate, approximately 12 month old 25lb whippet mix who could become anything an owner desired. He needs to have a family who can take the time to train him . He would do well with a family including children who he might not bump over in play. He does seem something of a klutz at this point , but it could just be the puppy age. Good hiking buddy, active owner/family a must. Foster Update: Peter is a handsome pup who’s as sweet as he is charming! This young pup rarely barks, making him the perfect companion for a peaceful home. He’s a true people-pleaser, always ready to meet new friends, both human and canine. He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle or regular playdates to burn off his adorable puppy energy. When he’s not playing, Peter’s favorite pastime is snuggling. He’ll lay his head on your lap or chest, looking up at you with those loving eyes that will melt your heart. His affectionate nature makes him a wonderful family dog or a loyal companion for someone who enjoys cuddly moments. Peter is already potty-trained and well-behaved in the car, making him a dream travel partner. His foster mom is working on basic commands and crate training, and he’s showing great promise—he’s eager to learn and make his humans happy! Because he’s a curious boy, Peter needs supervision indoors, especially to redirect his attention from chewing things he’s not supposed to. With some sturdy chew toys and consistent guidance, he’ll happily channel that curiosity into playtime. Peter’s ideal home is with someone who can provide regular exercise, love, and structure. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, and active companion, Peter might just be your perfect match!
