Meet Melly - Little Love
Meet Melly! This young sweetie is just adorable. She is estimated to be around one year old and came from a less than ideal situation. She is safe and sound in a foster home and is doing SO well. From her foster mom: Are you looking for a pint size pup? If so, I'm your girl. My profile says that my name is Melly, but foster mom calls me Miss Nellie. I have all the sweetness and charm of a Southern Bell with just a touch of sass. If this was a different era, you would find me warming the lap of an aristocrat. Instead, I like to curl up on foster mom's lap and sleep while she works. Once she sits down in her office chair, I know my job is keep her sitting and focused. I know sit but I like to twirl in circles first. Foster mom thinks I would do great at learning tricks because I seem to catch on quick. I am treat motivated and I want to please. I love to lick foster mom to show her how much I love her. My preference would be included in everything you do and with my size you could carry me in a front pack like foster mom did during my first few days with her. While I'm smaller than the cat I think she would be a fun playmate. Unfortunately, the rude queen cat simply ignores me and refuses to extend southern hospitality. If you would like to learn more about me, please complete an application and foster mom will be more than happy to provide you with a glowing reference. Melly will be vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450
Adoption Process
We pull dogs from kill shelters and place them with fosters or trial adopters. All adoptions have 2 week trial. Adoption donation is made after trial period and certificate of ownership is issued. We also bring animals from owner surrenders into our organization so that they never enter the shelter system. We check references for all applicants and complete home checks. A great deal of our dogs are transported from CA to Seattle once we have found a foster or trial for them.
