Meet Shawna

Animal Profile: Shawna is an estimated 1-year-old, 20 lb female mixed breed -- possibly shepherd with corgi or chihuahua (looks like a big dog in a small dog body) who was picked up as a stray in Los Banos and euth-listed for space. She passed her assessments with people and dogs. After she was pulled from the shelter with her temp transporter, she walked well on a leash and did great in a crate for a few hours. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Meet Shawna, the petite shepherd mix with a heart full of love! This adorable foster pup is the embodiment of sweetness, adoring tummy rubs and chin scratches more than anything else in the world. Shawna likes playing with my resident dog but is also well behaved by herself. She is smart and eager to please so is quickly learning basic commands. With a gentle demeanor and a quiet nature, Shawna would love to be your cuddle bug. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes s pay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Los Banos California, arriving to Seattle on Sunday 1/7/24. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
