Meet Mango (Kelowna) ST
Hi. My name is Mango and here is some info about me:Breed: Staffordshire terrierAge: 10 months oldGender: FemaleWeight: 30 lb Height: 18 inch Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, people, no signs of aggression or resource guarding observed.Hi there, I’m Mango! I’m an 10-month-old Staffordshire Terrier puppy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. My story didn’t start out so great—I was rescued from a situation no puppy should ever have to face. But despite all that, I’m here to show the world that love and kindness can heal even the roughest beginnings.I’m a sweet, playful, and loving girl who adores people of all sizes and other dogs. My favorite things to do are to play, eat, and make new friends—whether they have two legs or four! But my most favorite to do is to sit on your lap all day long if you allow me to do so! I may have been a tiny little lap dog in my previous life! My Foster family says I am a dream girl and will make a family very happy one day! I am very good at walking on lead and enjoy meeting new friends during our walks with my foster family! I am very gentle around kids, in fact I live with my two human foster siblings, ages 5 and 8! Oh and of course my four legged foster brother! One thing I’m really proud of is how well I get along with others. I don’t guard my toys or food, and I’ve never shown a hint of aggression. My foster parents say I’ve brought so much happiness into their lives, but what I’m really dreaming of is a forever home where I can blossom and live my best life. I am a bit curious about cats and tend to chase them around! I get it, it can be scary for a little kitty to be chased, best if i go to a family with no cats.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and wagging tails, and sit on your lap, I can’t wait to meet you. Let’s create our happily ever after together!Energy Level: High requires daily physical activities.I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: UnknownKids: Yes Mango's foster family has two young childre, ages 5 and 8!Fears: Unknown/none observed. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
