Meet ALFIE ALLEN
NAME: ALFIE ALLEN AGE/GENDER: DOB estimated 4.4.22 - Male Neutered BREED: Terrier mix? Min Pin mix? Chihuahua mix? TEMPERAMENT : Shy but sweet, loving, playful WEIGHT: 15.5lbs HOUSE TRAINING: He does well with a routine. CRATE TRAINING: Good. OTHER DOGS: He loves other dogs! He would do well with a playful, respectful dog. CATS: He is fostered with confident adult cats. Unsure if he would chase a scared cat who runs. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children 12 and up. ADOPTION DONATION: $550 HEALTH: Alfie came to us with a hip and leg injury, which was discovered to be an old break. He does need joint support, which includes glucosamine chondroitin supplements, as well as omega 3-6-9 supplements daily. He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care. HISTORY: Alfie was found in a field in Yakima. He had a broken leg, which the vet determined was an old break- which doesn't bother him currently, but hence the reason for a joint diet. NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Physical touch is Alfie's love language! He takes a short time to adjust before getting comfortable with you, but he loves to snuggle and give kisses once he knows you're his people. He's a big fan of other dogs and does well going to new places, especially when he has a confident dog buddy with him. Because of his hip injury, he would do best with a respectful dog who is careful not to play too rough. He loves to be with his people and part of the family. He can be a little bossy with puppies, even puppies larger than him! So would do best with a playmate his age or older. He's the perfect little snuggle puppy and shadow. He enjoys being out and about on leash, but will need some continued support with his confidence (either from you or his dog friend). He is still young, so his shyness is just due to lack of socialization, so he can become more confident the more you do with him, such as training and continued outings. He's the sweetest little boy who wants nothing more than to hang with you. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes (or partnering pet stores) where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing and same day adoption. Due to the volunteer run structure and decentralized/ virtual nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email [email protected] and request an adoption application (the auto-responder also has a link to our application). We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare" in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Thanks for considering adoption- we look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew
