Meet Dash

Animal Profile: Dash is an estimated 3-year-old spayed female lab pit mix who is ready for a family to call her own. She is house-trained, crate-trained and has basic obedience training. She is a loving and loyal companion and good at "chilling" in the house. With structured balanced training, she has blossomed and now enjoys walks even around unknown people and dogs. She could likely live in the home with another balanced dog but is nervous with meeting new dogs, especially those bigger than her. She will benefit from ongoing training.    Adopter Profile: Large breed experience preferred Single family residence required (no apartments) Other balanced dogs considered Cat test completed upon request Older kids considered Foster Update:  Dash is a really loving and affectionate dog who is incredibly curious, intelligent, and really fun. She came a long way in terms of her training and has shown incredible flexibility and willingness to train and learn. She routinely brings toys to play various games around the house and backyard and loves being around people, but also values her own space and is not "needy".  Dash  feels really secure and content at home and has recently became a cuddler. She knows her place and absolutely loves her bed but can occasionally join you on the couch, only if invited (she is surprisingly really good about this). Although new environments can make her uncertain, she really looks forward to walks.  Dash may not be vocal or bark, but she is excellent at communicating her needs, including when she needs to eat, play or go potty. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was a stray intake to PAWS and fostered and adopted/returned several times due to training needs; she was then transferred to DGS. She has been in training to address behavior issues, is currently fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption.
