Meet S'more (S. Korea) hz
Hi, I’m S’more! Here is a little info about me:Breed: Jindo mixAge: 5 MonthsGender: Female Weight: 18 lb (I'm still growing)Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, affectionate, socialI may be a little unsure of the world right now, but I’m learning that it’s not such a scary place after all!I started my life in a city pound with my three siblings, all of us without our mama. We waited for someone to take us home, but for two long months, no one came. Then, just before we were scheduled to be euthanized, some kind humans rescued us. Now, I’m safe in a foster home, learning, growing, and figuring things out—one paw at a time. With people, I’m very gentle. I’m getting used to being petted and lifted, and while I still get nervous outside, my foster mom is helping me learn about all the exciting things out there—like meeting new friends, going for car rides, and even walking on a leash! I recently visited the Seoul airport, and wow, that was a big adventure!I absolutely love other dogs! Playing with my siblings is my favorite thing, and I get along well with new dog friends too. I’ve also met some cats and didn’t mind them at all.At home, I have lots of puppy energy and love to run and play. But when I’m scared outside, I sometimes freeze or lie down—I just need a little patience and encouragement. I never show aggression, I don’t guard my food or toys, and I rarely bark. I also don’t try to escape, and I don’t seem to have separation anxiety.I’m still working on housetraining, and car rides make me a little nervous, but I’m trying my best!I was given a second chance at life, and now I’m searching for a loving family to help me continue my journey. If you think we’d be a good match, I’d love to meet you!Could you be my forever home?I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: UnsureEnergy level: High as I'm still in my puppyhoodFears: Non observed . Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Please be paitient and prepare to assist me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
