Meet Janey - Tiny Cutie
Meet Janey! This little girl is just 3 month old and a tiny 4 lbs. So much fun in a tiny package! Janey loves to sleep on laps. She is a puppy and is playful and no couch potato but she likes to be near. She is starting to get the hand of potty training. She tries to play with our dogs but will bark at them a little as she is trying to engage. A small sized dog companion will be great for her as a playmate. Janey is affectionate, friendly and playful. She likes to run around the yard and play with her toys. She is not afraid of new people at all. She has not been around kids, but would be okay with older ones. She is too small to be around very young kids. She's gone nose-to-nose with our cats, and will chase them when they run away. Better off in a home without cats, or one with cats who will stand their ground. Her potty training still needs work and she needs to be taken out often. She does not yet love being alone and will need some help getting used to that. She packs a lot of brave personality into her teeny little body. She will entertain herself with chew toys. If sleeping on a lap she will sometimes crawl between the back of the chair and your back to sleep. Sleeps well at night, likes to tunnel under the covers.
Adoption Process
We pull dogs from kill shelters and place them with fosters or trial adopters. All adoptions have 2 week trial. Adoption donation is made after trial period and certificate of ownership is issued. We also bring animals from owner surrenders into our organization so that they never enter the shelter system. We check references for all applicants and complete home checks. A great deal of our dogs are transported from CA to Seattle once we have found a foster or trial for them.
