OWNER SURRENDER: FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED Ziggy Stardust is an estimated 18-month-old 70lb Husky Rottweiler mix (best guess) who has been passed around a few families already in his short life. He has no temperament or aggression issues, but as you can guess, is prone to wandering and doesn't like to be crated/contained. He is still in tact so we are hopeful that some of his roaming tendencies will improve with the snip snip. He is house trained and friendly with all people including children and all dogs. He is going to need some work on crate training and he will need a minimum 5' fenced yard with secure gates/latches. Mental and physical exercise will really benefit this young boy. A family that is home more often than not will be best. Again, Ziggy has no history of aggression and is a friendly, active boy who has not found the right environment where he can thrive. He does well at dog parks, and is intelligent, athletic and independent. Ziggy was neutered on 11/2/22 Foster Update: Stay tuned for details. Adopter Profile: Single family residence required Fenced yard required Other playful dogs a plus No cats Kids okay Able to provide daily exercise Work from home preferred Adoption Info: Ziggy's adoption fee is $500, which includes his neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. * Ziggy will be neutered prior to adoption * Animal History: Ziggy was found on the side of a highway as a puppy. The finder homed him with a family with acreage on Lopez Island. When that family moved to a duplex in the city, Ziggy began to wander and howl. He is not compatible with his current living environment.
