Meet Lincoln

Animal Profile: Lincoln is an estimated 3-year-old, 39 lb mixed breed - some heeler or hound perhaps. He was picked up as a stray on the big island of Hawaii and at the shelter he did well with other dogs and was non-reactive to cats in the cattery (shelter cat test). The shelter was overcrowded and he was transferred to Dog Gone Seattle to find his forever home. Shelter Assessment: Lincoln is easy to walk, walks nicely on a leash and has evidence of prior training. He shows no resource guarding and greets all dogs -- large, small, male, female -- with a gentle posture and wagging tail. He likes to play but is respectful of dogs who do not. On his cat test he backed away quickly when swatted at. He rides well in the car and doesn't startle to rare noises. One of those rare dogs who has everything going for him! Seattle Foster Update: Stay tuned for details. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was transferred from COH Animal Shelter in Hawaii and transferred by Paws Across water, he arrived in Seattle on March 11, 2023.
