Meet Pippin Took

Animal Profile: Pippin is an estimated 3-year-old, 9 lb Chihuahua mix. He was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, where he was at risk for euthanasia due to space. He was nervous in the kennel, but friendly and easily handled. He will do so much better outside of a noisy, stressful shelter. He was brought in with several other small Chihuahuas (Aragon and Frodo) and is dog friendly. Foster Update: Pippin is a rockstar! His confidence on leash is growing fast and he has come a long way very quickly. He is sweet, good in his crate, potty trained, and friendly with people once he has a chance to get to know you. Pippin would probably love to have another dog in his forever home since he came into the shelter as part of a pack, but with enough time and attention he would likely do just fine on his own. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
