Application Review Date 12/11/2023 Animal Profile: Orlando is a 5-month-old male Pitbull puppy who was dumped in the desert with his two siblings. They’ve been at a ‘holding facility’, NOT a shelter, for 3 months. There is no public access, city workers feed and give them water M-F but the dogs are all exposed to the elements . Luckily, they are now in loving foster homes in the PNW, waiting to find their forever homes. More details to follow. Foster Update: Orlando (I call him Orly) is the most loving puppy! Super cuddly, sweet and calm. He loves to be close and get snuggles; his go-to move is to sit pretty, gazing at you with his beautiful eyes, and he is learning to do it on command. He loves to engage, which makes him a good, attentive learner who responds well to to tone of voice and praise. Orly is doing well with potty training and goes willingly into his crate. He complains a little when he can't see me from his crate, but quiets down fast if left alone or seeing me sitting nearby. Orly lives with two older, medium-sized dogs and is very respectful of them. He walks perfectly on leash, right by my side! He doesn't mind the rain and is curious, but not scared by the big world he now gets to explore. Bottom line, he is a wonderful puppy with a loving, easygoing personality. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization.
