Meet Dora

Animal Profile: Dora is an approximately 8 month old 35lb Shepherd mix who was showing stress and losing weight in the shelter. We look forward to helping this sweet girl gain a little weight and find her perfect home here in the PNW.  Foster Update:   Dora is a sweetheart, she wants to please her humans, and is happy to take direction and guidance. So far, she's an easy-going puppy who has taken this whole new big world in stride! She melts the hearts of every person she meets, with her sweet, kind nature. She's learning that outside is where you go potty, but is able to hold it overnight, and we're seeing improvement everyday! She loves to snuggle in to her people, and rubs against you like a cat. Dora is learning to be cat friendly with a dog savvy cat! She is easy to redirect off trying to play with the cat. She can be a little vocal from excitement on leash when seeing people/dogs/bikes/runners, but again is easy to redirect as she is food motivated. Dora knows sit gets her treats! She is working on leave it, down, and recall. She wants to learn! Dora will make a great edition to an active family who is willing to continue her great start with training!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
