Animal Profile: Cider is an 10 week old poodle mix. She is blind in one eye (due to an eye stain) but sees perfectly out of the other eye. She and her siblings are friendly with people and dogs. Their owner was cited for having too many, and agreed to relinquish puppies. Mom is a poodle, dad is unknown. We rescued 3 adult dogs from the property last week and they are in the 35-40lb range, so expecting these babies to be in the same range full grown. With those sweet eyes and scruffy faces, we know they’ll get scooped up fast in the PNW! . Foster Update: Meet Cidar, the sweetest little poodle puppy you’ll ever find! At just 2 months old, she is full of love, fluff, and an irresistible zest for life. She may be blind in one eye, but don’t let that fool you – she’s still better at using her smell to find snacks than you are at finding your keys. Her resilience shines through every moment, proving that true beauty comes from the heart (and maybe a little from her poofy fur). Cider’s appearance perfectly matches her name: with her fluffy, poofy white hair, she looks just like a tiny cloud of joy, or maybe a tiny sheep that got lost and decided to cuddle instead of bleat. Under all that fur, she’s a petite bundle, making her the perfect size for cozy cuddles. And cuddle she will!. Despite her mellow nature, Cider has a playful side that lights up whenever she’s engaging with people or playing with other dogs. She’s learning how to be a dog - walking, crate and house training – slowly but surely – and is always up for gentle games and fun interactions. She’s also mastered the art of the “zoomie followed by an immediate nap” routine. Her calm demeanor means she’ll fit well into many kinds of loving homes, whether she’s the sole fur baby or has furry siblings. Marshmallow’s journey may come with a few special considerations due to her partial blindness, but her spirit is undaunted. In fact, she’s perfected the art of the dramatic head tilt when listening intently – it’s all part of her charm. She’s ready to learn, love, and be your devoted companion. If you’re looking for a pup who will snuggle up with you on lazy afternoons and greet you with happiness (and maybe a tiny yawn) every day, she is your girl.
