Meet BAMZI (ME) yo/kt
Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience.Hello, I'm BAMZI (Mocha) and here is some info about me:Breed: Spitz mixAge: 1 yearGender: maleWeight: 6 kgHeight: tbdHighlights: playful, mellow, relaxed, cuddlerHey y’all! My actual name is Mocha (too many others with this name though) and I am as sweet as chocolate!I was found abandoned when I was a puppy in front of an animal hospital in the Middle East. A sweet lady found me and took me inside the hospital to get checked. I had burn marks on some parts of my body and a severe eye infection. I was scheduled for eye surgery, but even after the surgery, my eye could not be saved. Hence, I am blind in one eye. It had to be removed. That does not hinder me from being the happy dog that I am, getting along with both humans and other dogs! I even get along with kids. I like to play, but I am also very mellow and relaxed and just love to cuddle.I am eager to please therefore I am very easy to train. On top of that I’m also pretty intelligent and confident! I had a rough start in life. I was very weak and scared when I was found, so I’m hoping with your help I will be able to turn all of that around! I am slowly getting back to my normal self and loving life. Please adopt me!Additional videos: https://youtube.com/shorts/DtZcnZPLyOQ,https://youtube.com/shorts/99MGXcvmQ5E, https://youtube.com/shorts/5q8ZI7Ejkrk.Energy level: moderateGets along with:Other dogs: yesKids: yesCats: unknownPrey drive: none observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise.Fears: None observed. Please be patient during my transition to my new environment.Training: nothing knownLeash training: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: no. Please help me learn!Health notes: I am blind in one eye (no further surgeries or care required.)I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is 850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
