Meet Papa a Cairn Terrier mix

Papa Papa is a 5-year-old Cairn Terrier mix, we believe it may be Dachshund, but that's a best guess. Papa is a sweet Boy and he has personality in Spades! He is Toto with a short tail! Papa Loves his daily walks with his foster and loves playing fetch indoors and outdoors We recently discovered that he loves toys, especially squeaky toys! Papa will run and chase the toy, bring it back, drop it at your feet and wait until the human throws it again and he will run after it. He looks like Toto running. Papa is pretty athletic and he loves to play. Papa loves to be held, he will roll over for belly rubs, jump into my arms when I ask him, and smiles when he is happy. Background : Papa came to us from a rescue friend in California who took him from the shelter with his mother. His mother is a purebred Cairn Terrier. Mom was bred heavily and she is in hospice care. Papa has been brought to full health and is happy to be free and to be receiving excellent food, love, many adventures and attention What Papa Needs: Papa really needs a loving person or persons who will dote on him. Papa loves being the only dog and the center of attention. He is done with puppies and will ignore other dogs, so an only dog home is best. Papa needs a person with a willingness to walk him, train him and keep him on very nutritious canine-specific foods to stay healthy for his entire life (we provide in-depth education) Papa needs people who are committed to loving him forever so he will never again be abandoned!  Papa also requires a small animal and cat-free home. How Can You Meet Papa? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for Papa. If it looks like a match can be made, then the next step is a meet and greet. Here is the link. Please use a computer as tablets and cell phones will drop the app. Papa has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Papa, he has a $495.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.        HTTPS://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/
