CHEVY Chevy is a sweet, docile, chilled, and laid-back puppy who was dumped with his littermates and mom on the streets of Loreto, Mexico 3 weeks ago. They were immediately picked up and taken to our partner rescue where they have been loved and cared for by fosters. Chevy is up to date on his puppy vaccines and is doing well with Potty training. I am told he is still reticent toward people he has not met and may bark. Once he meets the person and realizes they are Ok, he warms up for love and cuddles. His new family will need to continue his socializing. Chevy's first language is Mexican Spanish and he is learning English. Chevy is young and will pick up the language easily enough. Chevy is a Lab mix. His mom appears to be a Lab-Mountain cur, native to Mexico. She weighs 35 pounds. We are sure he has a little bit of a lot of breeds making him a quintessential Heinz 57. We guestimate he will be in the mid 40's range as an adult. What Chevy Needs Chevy will need a person or family committed to training him with a recommended trainer, having the time and energy to care for a young puppy, a home with a yard and a fence, and the financial ability to afford a puppy and all that entails. Someone who works from home or can take a puppy to work, or has an available dog sitting service or daycare/training service would be required if you are gone all day. Chevy has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. HE LOVES his NEW FOOD! We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Chevy, he has a $550.00 adoption fee. All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link. Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match. https://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/
