MustLuvBoxers Rescue

Holly Adams founded MustLuvBoxers Rescue in 2013 when she decided to transform an internet forum dedicated to her favorite dog breed into a non-profit rescue that could serve Boxer dogs all along the West Coast. Under her leadership, the rescue saved 58 dogs in 2014, 66 in 2015, and now consistently saves more than 100 dogs each year.Holly serves as the rescue’s president, leading its 250+ volunteers and managing its day-to-day operations. She organizes and assists in all aspects of animal intake such as working with shelters or citizens surrendering dogs, arranging transportation for incoming dogs, and matching dogs with safe and loving foster homes. She also is actively involved in the adoption process, reviewing adoption applications, interviewing applicants, and helping to arrange home-checks prior to approved adoptions. When Holly isn’t helping Boxer dogs get back on their feet and into loving homes, she’s working as a physical therapy assistant helping patients literally get back on their feet. She also loves taking her dogs, Piper and Stevie, to go running at the beach.

Meet Bane

Hello, my name is Bane and I’m a 9-year-old male Boxer. I am neutered, current on my vaccines, and am being fostered in Redmond, WA. Before I came into the rescue, I had a great home with a very loving family, however, due to a change in circumstances, they could no longer care for me. Thanks to them I am healthy and very well adjusted. Not only am I completely house trained and accident free, I'm also very respectful of everything in my foster home. I know which furniture I am allowed on and which ones I'm not. For a Boxer I can be extremely shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'll always be by your side. In fact, I love most people I meet once I get to know them. I really just want to have someone around me all the time! While I can be trusted and left alone in the house I do prefer to have company. So, a forever home with lots of family members who are always around would be very much preferred. I'm also good with other dogs as long as they are friendly and playful, so a canine pal in my forever family would be really great to have. I'm excellent on a leash, in fact for being an older boy I love going on walks. I still have a lot of energy so going for a hike in the woods is always a favorite for me with so many new things to check out. And if you have a few tennis balls to throw, I would love to chase them. I have some toys that I enjoy playing with, but the truth is, I’d much rather sit in your lap to receive some pets and scratches. If you have short trips to take, like to the grocery store, I also enjoy riding in the car with you to keep you company.  Overall, I am very easy going and have a lot of love to give. So, a family with a lot of love to give back would be amazing. If you think we are a great match, then please submit an application today – https://www.mustluvboxersrescue.com/adopt.
