Animal Profile: Koa is an approximately 3.5-month-old female Lab / Shepherd mix joining us from Fresno Animal Care Center. She and her seven littermates were taken to the shelter -- all were lucky to find rescue. Foster Update: Koa is a sweet puppy that loves affection from both dogs and humans. She is very smart and working on her potty training. She loves her soft bed and will go and lie on it when she is tired. She loves to play with our resident dog and Koa would love to have a dog sibling. My big dog is very gentle with her and in no time they were bff’s. She genuinely has to be consoled when you open the crate in the morning. She is so happy you came back she just hugs you until she calms down! She loves her stuffy and when she cries, she holds it in her mouth for comfort. I think she has a little Husky in her because she has the cutest little howls. We don’t currently have a kitty so I don’t know how she will be with cats. She is confident, sassy, and full of love. Adding Koa to your family will gain you a loyal pup furever. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
