Meet Frodo

Animal Profile: Frodo is an estimated 6-year-old, 9 lb Chihuahua mix. He was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, where he was at risk for euthanasia due to space. He was nervous in the kennel, but friendly and easily handled. He will do so much better outside of a noisy, stressful shelter. He was brought in with several other small Chihuahuas (Aragon and Pippin) and is dog friendly. Foster Update: Frodo is a sweet, mellow guy that is settling into his foster home. Frodo has tried to be "friends" with the sassy cat in his foster home, but backs off prior to getting whacked.  He doesn't seem to have prey drive, just looking for a friend. Frodo would like another dog in his forever home, but it is not a complete deal breaker. He is pretty chill but does like long walks, so someone active would be great. He's really adapting well. Not loving his crate at night, but doing better.  He seems to be potty trained and gets along with everyone and does listen to basic commands. Just a great guy! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
