Meet Pemba, a small mixed breed female

**Pemba** Pemba is a sweet female Dachshund-Terrier mix who was adopted but later returned by a couple that struggled to understand and train her. She is an intelligent and loving pup, weighing approximately 10 pounds. Pemba excels at walking on a leash and loves exploring parks, beaches, and neighborhoods. Currently, she is being fostered at a doggy daycare, where she interacts with several other dogs. Pemba is a social butterfly, greeting her canine friends with a wagging tail and enjoying runs and play in the doggy play yard. Pemba will thrive in a home with small dog-savvy people who enjoy taking their dogs on adventures, such as walks and trips to the beach. Her affection for other dogs is apparent, and well-mannered pups can help mentor her in being polite around humans. Adopting Pemba:  Please use the link below to apply. The next step is a meet and greet if a match can be made. Please use a computer, as tablets and cell phones will drop the application. Pemba has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble instead of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.  Pemba has a $495.00 adoption fee. All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.
