Animal Profile: Tequila is a 4 month old Shepherd puppy who joined us on 2/23/2025 via our TX partner Saving Shelter Strays. Tequila was wandering the streets and is from a property that Animal Control, along with our rescue partner, is working with the owner on because they have too many dogs and need help. Tequila was in a foster home in Texas before coming to the Seattle area. She is great with dogs, kids and people. Foster Update: Tequila is a sweet little lady with a side of sass. She loves playing with and talking to her toys. She is not sure why the ball always rolls under the couch but she is a champion at trying to get it back. She hasn't gotten stuck yet! She responds well to direction and correction, walks great on the leash, sleeps through the night, and protests some but does not mind her crate. She is a bit shy meeting new people but can be bought with treats. She has met new dogs and kids on walks and made friends instantly. I work from home and she happily naps and plays with toys during the day. Tequila would love a securely fenced yard and a family that is active and committed to her continued training. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
