nOkill Network

The nOkill Network is dedicated to promoting no-kill animal shelters, organizations, and rescue groups by helping people learn about and locate these organizations. The nOkill Network also strives to promote the no-kill model so that shelters that do not currently have a no-kill policy might take the initiative needed to gain the public, governmental, and financial support necessary to become a no-kill organization. Our website visitors are pet lovers that would be helpful in adopting and caring for pets in need, so we'd like to provide the adoptable pet listing on our site in order to match animals in need with families.

Meet Duke

Hello. My name is Victoria I have a 6 year old Rottweiler boy. We have had him since he was just a baby, but unfortunately we have been put in a position to have to give him away. My husband and I foster children and he has bit a child for the second time. This time CPS has been involved and they are threatening to close our home for adoption due to the risk he poses. Duke is not really an aggressive dog, but he doesn't understand how to handle children. Especially ones that are scared of him. He's very protective and well trained when he comes to using the bathroom, but not when it comes to screaming and crying children. I guess he just freaks out. He is really good with our 10 year old. They have never had any problems, so I'm guessing he just doesn't know what to do with younger kids. I need to know if we are able to bring him here and f so what would you all do with him? He is neutered and up to date on all shots. Thanks in advance for your help **** Breed: Rottweiler **** Pet Link: https://www.nokillnetwork.org/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2167176&flag=1
