Underdogs Rock! Rescue

We are a small Portland, Oregon based 501c3 organization rescuing dogs from the over crowded shelters in Southern California, Alabama, and Hawaii. We foster the dogs until they are healthy and help them find their forever homes! Contact us at [email protected] work directly with Rescue Groups in Southern California to rescue dogs who are on their last days in the high-kill shelters. Because our dogs are in Foster Homes we get to know the dogs personalities and needs. As we know the dogs well and how they do in a home environment, we do a great job in matching families with the right dog, and the right family for the dog!

Meet Frankie

Meet Frankie! He is an adorable mystery mix from a rescue in Mexico. Part poodle, part muppet, who knows? Frankie is on the smaller side, under 15 lbs. Frankie is about 9 months old and very sweet. He has lots of puppy energy, so will benefit from a family that has the time and patience to help him be the very best dog he can be. Frankie is a champion snuggler, very social and will need a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time. He has proved to be a great work from home companion, as long as there is time to get his energy out through both physical and mental exercise.  Frankie can be a bit mouthy and jumpy at his young age, so a home with young kids is not be the best fit.  In true puppy fashion, Frankie will need outlets for his energy. Luckily he LOVES toys and he loves walks. Once he has played for a bit he is happy to curl up on a lap and take a nap, he also likes to watch dogs on the telly.  He is currently living with two other larger dogs in his foster home and does well with them. He would likely do great with a playful dog sibling. Frankie has proven to be an alert barker so shared walls are not ideal. He would love to have a fenced yard to get out his hilarious zoomies, but he does like to go outside with his people. He has been doing great with his potty training, as long as he is taken out regularly.   Like any adoption it will be important for his adopters to work with him (and super important for his humans) for success with training and socialization with a force free certified trainer.   Are you the right home for this sweet gem of a pup? Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $425.  Frankie is being fostered in Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's area. Dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually or in person. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescue
