Meet Weaver

Weaver is a playful pup with lots of energy. He loves to go to the play yard and play ball and run around. He can get a bit mouthy when he gets over stimulated but has never been aggressive. He seems to be dog friendly and a dog test will be required. We believe he is either a Husky/Akita mix or a white Akita. We are unsure of him with cats and due to his possible breed we strongly suggest using extreme caution as he could have a strong prey drive. He walks well on leash and knows some basic commands as well. He would do best in an active family that will take him on adventures to help with his high energy and to keep him engaged with various activities. We feel he would do well with kids that are older as his size and energy level could get the littles knocked over on accident. We do want the kiddos to come to the meet and greet to make sure everyone is comfortable. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.Interested in adopting? Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
