Hello! I am Sheba! I came here as an owner surrender because I was simply a bit too energetic for my previous owners. I was actually adopted from this shelter last summer, so here I am again for round 2! I am hoping this next family is my forever family. I am quite beautiful with striking, dazzling eyes. I can be nervous around new people, so I do need owners who can understand that the world can feel a little scary to a sweet gal like me, and help me find my confidence. I am energetic, strong, and smart. While I was a bit too much for my previous family, they did an excellent job taking care of me and found out some really cool things about me. One of the best things? I love kids! I was wonderful with their grandkids; I like to be a mama-dog and babysit the kids, play with them, pretty much just hang out wherever they are. I am jumpy though, so I need some sturdy, older kids who can handle these hugs! I love to play with toys and can be vocal, but don't worry, it is all in good fun. I am crate trained and very housebroken, but even when left alone in the home, I usually like to nap in my bed until you come home. I have met a few dogs here that I do like to play with, but I can be picky, so I may need to be the only pup in my forever home. I can pull on leash, but I am working on those manners along with other basic obedience. When you are feeling down, I use my super-powers to give you hugs that chase all the blues away. I am cuddly, affectionate, and the best friend you are missing. I am a lovely girl, come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
