Meet Ace
Ace is a shy boy who originally came from Texas and was transported up to Wisconsin. The rescue he was first brought to, wasn't doing their diligence, so we now have him, and a few others to make sure they will get the proper health care and handling before adoption. We are still learning his personality, and he is still adjusting to having being moved once again. He is timid, but feels better and has more confidence when he has another friend to help guide him. We would strongly recommend a home with another dog. He is more on the submissive side, but he certainly can stand his own ground when he is playing with his buddy, Jack. Jack and him share a common space where they can go potty indoors if needed, so they do take advantage of that. If we remove that common space, we believe he would do just fine with holding it until he can get let back out in the morning. During the day, he does great with no accidents! He is mostly a dark brown in color, with a very distinct black stripe down his spine, and a little spot of white on his chest, and on every paw. He is not neutered yet, but will be going to the vet in the next coupe weeks. We do not know how he does in the car, and he does not seem to know most basic commands, such as sit. He loves treats, so with dedication, love, patience and time, he should do just fine! He has a beautiful white smile, so we figure he is approximately 9 months old. He is heart worm negative, and negative for all the tick diseases! YAY! He is neutered and ready to go into his new home. If this young man tugs at your heartstrings, we encourage you to fill out a pre adoption application! If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-guidelines/
