Meet King
King came to us as a transfer from another rescue, that was not doing their diligence in care. Originally from Texas, we don't have much of a back story on him, ad he is still new to our facility so we're still learning his true colors! He is very friendly and really strives for love and affection. He needs some manners, as he likes to jump on you and give you a few smooches, and he loves going on walks. He is the most energetic one we received out of this group of 6. He is not shy about meeting new people. He has played with Jack and Ace (two other unaltered Male dogs) so seems to not mind other dogs. He does have more of a dominant personality, so he would probably do better with a female dog in the household, or a submissive male. He recently got neutered and did great at the Vets office! He rode nicely in the car, and giving him his first set of vaccines while at our facility, he was a champ! Just give him some treats, and he will sit so nicely for you and let you prod around. He will need time and patience to help acclimate to a new home setting, and he also needs some boundaries established. He is looking for a home where he could be "King" of the castle. He is approximately 3 years old, and is negative for heart worm, and tick diseases. He weighs almost 55 pounds. We think he is a Rot/Shepherd mix, so he has the perfect combo of loyalty, and security! If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-guidelines/
