Meet Spike - NH

Spike (aka Gremlin) is a young puppy that was turned into a shelter in CT.  He is neutered and UTD on his vaccinations. This little guy is ready to start a new journey with his forever family.  He came into rescue with no potty training but he has caught on fast and has not had an accident in the house! He has mastered sit and down and has got the hang of luring and is well on his way for heel and a variety of other commands.  He is higher drive and absolutely needs a job. Mental and physical training is being done every day.   If his needs are not satisfied, he lets you know by being a complete crazy man.  He can be very mouthy at times but is learning that people are not chew toys. He has huge food drive and good toy drive also.  He never misses a piece of kibble scattered outside.  Teaching him handler focus and that he doesn’t need to go see every person and dog he sees is a work in progress. Environmentally he doesn’t shy away from anything we have come in with contact yet. Flapping plastic, loud noises, weird surfaces etc.  He goes in his crate like a champ and the gremlin side comes out when he plays with toys in there. He is a vocal pup loves to growl and make noise as he plays. Has met a variety of different dogs and has interacted well with all. Has taken a fair amount of correction from older dogs and will cautiously try to engage after.  Sleeps from 8:30/9pm till 4:30am comes back to bed with me, some mornings he will curl up and sleep some he thinks its playtime which results in another couple hours of crate time. If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a pup that can keep up with you and able to take on a sport or two, Spike is your puppy!
